GAMMA PICKLE BALL

Pickleball Game

Pickleball is a court sport played on a badminton-sized court with the net set to a height of 34 inches at the center. It is played with a perforated plastic ball like a wiffle ball and composite or wooden paddles about twice the size of ping-pong paddles. It can be played indoors or outdoors and is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a fast-paced, competitive game for experienced players. In addition, the game has developed a passionate following due to its friendly, social nature, and its multi-generational appeal.

Pickleball can be played as singles or doubles. New players can learn the basic rules quickly in a single session. Equipment is inexpensive and easily portable. The game can be played by all ages and is particular popular in school P.E. programs and in adult living communities.

The Court

A Pickleball court is 20’ x 44’ for both singles and doubles.  The net is hung at 36” at the ends and hangs 34” in the middle.  A non-volley zone extends 7’ back from the net on each side, commonly called “the kitchen”.

The Equipment

Competitive paddles used in Pickleball are constructed from a high-tech composite, ranging in cost from US$50-US$150 each.  An official Pickleball is made of plastic and is between 0.78 to 0.935 ounces and 2.874 to 2.972 inches in diameter.  There a no color restrictions other than the ball must be a single, consistent color.

Pickleball Game’s Equipment are available for sales in Singapore now, contact our office at 62763313 for more details.

ATP AND DUNLOP ANNOUNCE GLOBAL PARTNERSHIP

LONDON – ATP and Dunlop announced today a new, five-year partnership that will see Dunlop become the Official Ball of the ATP Tour and the Nitto ATP Finals beginning in 2019.

Dunlop will also become a Silver Partner of both of the ATP Tour and the Nitto ATP Finals. The partnership expands Dunlop’s already extensive portfolio of partnerships with ATP Tour events, which includes a Next Gen ATP Finals Gold Partnership that began in 2018.

“This new agreement is a testament to Dunlop’s continued commitment to the sport of tennis and we are excited to build a long-term partnership with such a world-renowned brand,” said Chris Kermode, ATP Executive Chairman & President.

“Dunlop has exhibited the foremost standards of quality and attention to detail throughout the process of testing and developing the new ATP Tour Official Ball, which ensures the highest levels of performance and consistency for our players across all conditions and playing surfaces.”

“This is a significant moment for the brand, and we are delighted to become the Official Ball of the ATP Tour and Nitto ATP Finals,” said Masahiro Asahino, Head of Racket Sports for SRI.

THE OFFICIAL DUNLOP AUSTRALIAN OPEN BALL

BEHIND THE BALL: HOW THE OFFICIAL DUNLOP AUSTRALIAN OPEN BALL IS BORN

There will be a new ball on court for the 2019 Australian Open, as Dunlop becomes the official ball partner of the season-beginning Grand Slam.

Widely regarded as the best ball on tour by the players, Dunlop was chosen by Tennis Australia for its meticulous attention to detail and dedication to create a high-performance ball fitting for this prestigious event. Ensuring it meets the necessary specifications and performance levels, the ball has been thoroughly tested by Tennis Australia and put through its paces by both former and current professional players.

The Dunlop Australian Open ball is manufactured in the company’s own factory in the Philippines and is put together using the finest materials available. The factory produces millions of tennis balls in a calendar year and over 53,000 balls will be used at the Australian Open in 2019.

The rubber cores at the heart of the ball are made from the finest natural rubber locally sourced from the Philippines while the manufacturing of the cloth takes place in the UK and then shipped over for full assembly.
